  • Arrive 20 minutes early to your first class to fill out the required paperwork. Or, to do the paperwork beforehand click here for your INTAKE form for yoga and tai chi, print out the paperwork, fill it out, and bring it to your first class.
  • For the movement & yoga sessions, if you have a  yoga mat bring it, as well as a meditation cushion (or something such as a large towel or a folded blanket to sit on). To get you started we  have extra mats and cushions, so come whether you have the gear or not!   • For Tai Chi, wear loose, comfortable clothing. Plan to go barefoot  or tai chi shoes are OK.

  • If you’re pregnant, let us know. The best classes for you are EasyFlow and Tai Chi.
BEGINNERS

WiseWays is the studio for you! Specializing in small class sizes and individualized work those new to yoga or tai chi find a comfortable movement arts home here. A very friendly, easy place for relaxing and learning.

Movement & Yoga sessions

  • Attend either a Ease (formerly called Yin) or EasyFlow ongoing session and the teacher will orient you to our studio and style. Join any week, any session, except Empower Yoga. Take EasyFlow classes before your first Flow class (formerly called Empower).

  • Beginners may wish to (but are not required to) enroll in Beginners Yoga or Meditations REGISTRATION Series. In our ongoing program beginners enjoy Ease and EasyFlow.

  • Private sessions are another way for beginners to get started.

About the ongoing Tai Chi sessions

  • The first half of every Tai Chi session is devoted to warm-ups and beginners. In the second half the focus is primarily on experienced students. Almost everyone attends the whole class and learns lots.

PRIVATE SESSIONS

Every body needs their own movement and meditation mentor. 

These sessions are entirely focused on your needs, your goals.  Relaxation and/or bodymind exercise practices just right for you. Bodymindspirit support and guidance for you.

Challenges people resolve in private sessions:

  • work and life stress; fatigue; anxiety; depression
  • chronic pain including; headaches, fibromyalgia, accidents/injuries, sciatica, period pain, muscular, joint pain including arthritis, spine and disc. Common areas addressed-- back, neck, shoulders, wrists, hands, hips,feet.

  • difficulty with sleeping, walking, sitting, standing, bending, balance
  • conditions such as: high blood pressure; heart challenges; breathing difficulties; diabetes; heartburn and other digestive or eliminative problems; osteoporosis and osteopenia

ONGOING PROGRAM OF DROP-IN SESSIONS

WiseWays offers an ongoing schedule of yoga and tai chi classes. No matter your fitness goal or current physical skill level, you’ll find a class in our regular lineup of classes to meet your needs.  You are invited to participate in these on a drop-in basis and each can be paid for one class at a time; or you can take advantage of savings by purchasing a mulitple Pass value.  No other studio in town has such a continuous ongoing schedule as WiseWays. Sessions run every week--except: Memorial Weekend, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving Day and weekend, and depending on where it falls, sometimes Fourth of July.
